• Assumes (but does not necessarily display) expert-supplied default answers when the underwriter has not yet provided a response
• Combines default answers with user input to permit useful risk evaluations (generally displaying greater uncertainly) even with incomplete or uncertain information
• Represents positive versus negative risk-evaluation values and relative certainty or uncertainty as intuitively understood graphic "Meters"
• Explains how a value was computed ("Show Reasoning") by identifying which factors contributed to produce a given assessment or other output
• Automatically displays Alert message windows after critical inputs or combinations of risk factors

• Allows the user to modify the system's outputs ("Override"), consistent with its use as an advisory system.

• Combines "Override" and "Unoverride" for "what if" analyses to evaluate a variety of scenarios associated with the risk
