The SynCore graphical user interface includes a number of features to help your users. With a Java-capable browser and pre-authorization from SyntelSoft, you can also explore a demonstration Syntel knowledge base from the SynCore Server for Java demonstration web page.
- Reflects company policy, practices, and workflow with customized terminology on forms, title bars, and tool bar
- Uses mouse-driven data entry with selection lists and pop up menus
- Includes dynamic screen content where instructions and labels change in response to user data and items appear only when necessary
- Offers Clarify text upon request for every value with company-specific underwriting clarifications, evaluation criteria, and guidelines
- Provides dynamic, computed Clarify text with appropriate explanations
- Offers screen choice via hierarchical Screen Index menu
- Includes Next, Previous, and Last Seen command bar choices
- Enhances access between related screens with "Fast Path" buttons
- Displays forms only when relevant, based on risk characteristics such as class of business or perils covered
- Allows a user to view more than one form at a time
- Accepts both factual and judgmental inputs from single or multiple users to complete the analysis of a particular risk
- Supports the evaluation of risks with multiple sites, in multiple states, and/or multiple classes of business
- Incorporates information such as financial data stored in databases (both internal and external to Underwriting Advisor)
- Accesses information residing in other systems (such as name and address of the insured or a producer evaluation) either in batch or on-line to assist risk evaluation
- Searches through large tables of choices by keyword (including "wildcard" matching characters) and displays a list of all matches for selection
- Assumes (but does not necessarily display) expert-supplied default answers when the underwriter has not yet provided a response
- Combines default answers with user input to permit useful risk evaluations (generally displaying greater uncertainly) even with incomplete or uncertain information
- Represents positive versus negative risk-evaluation values and relative certainty or uncertainty as intuitively understood graphic "Meters"
- Explains how a value was computed ("Show Reasoning") by identifying which factors contributed to produce a given assessment or other output
- Automatically displays Alert message windows after critical inputs or combinations of risk factors
- Provides multiple annotations ("Footnotes") containing free-form text windows for file documentation notes, either on specific risk factors or on the entire file
- Allows the user to modify the system's outputs ("Override"), consistent with its use as an advisory system.
- Allows the user to remove a previously entered override ("Unoverride"), restoring control of that output evaluation to the system
- Combines "Override" and "Unoverride" for "what if" analyses to evaluate a variety of scenarios associated with the risk
- Flags Alerts, Overrides and Footnotes for auditing control and later review, strengthening the system's ability to provide electronic documentation of the file
- Changes access to certain menu bar commands, input boxes and footnotes depending on the user and state of the case
