SyntelSoft Privacy Notice ---
Effective June 1995 onward
Our Commitment To Privacy
Your privacy is important. This notice explains how our online
information practices protect your privacy.
We do not collect any information on our Web site. If you are
interested in our products, you may telephone or send us an e-mail message
in which you may disclose whatever information you deem appropriate.
The Way We Use Information
- We use the information you provide about yourself only in trying to
determine how we can best serve you. We do not share this information with
outside parties without your prior permission.
- A great deal of e-mail intended for other similarly-named domains is
inadvertently sent to this domain. We examine this e-mail for the sole
purpose of notifying the originator that it is undeliverable. Often we find
that invalid user ids in this domain have been signed up for newsletters or
other subscriptions; we take all necessary steps to terminate such
subscriptions. In this case we always destroy materials sent to this domain.
We ignore and destroy all confidential data that is unintentionally
revealed.
- When we receive unsolicited commercial e-mail which advertises a Web site,
we will use information contained in that message to identify the Internet
service provider or providers which host the advertisted Web site, and
we will notify them of any violation of their Terms of Service. We do
this for messages sent to any address in the syntel.com domain.
- We use return e-mail addresses to answer the e-mail we receive.
We may also use return e-mail addresses, IP addresses, or other data
contained in e-mail messages to report violations of Terms of Service
to the originator's or advertisee's Internet service provider. These are the only
uses we will make of information contained in unsolicited e-mail headers
sent to this domain.
- We log the IP addresses of those who access our Web server. We may
periodically examine those IP addresses to determine whether inappropriate
use is being made of our facilities ("hacking", for example) - but we will
not share these IP addresses with third parties except as permitted or
required by law, and as required by our efforts to protect our facilities
and your privacy.
- We may accumulate non-identifying and aggregate information. We will use
this to improve our website, and we may share it with advertisers. For
example, we may tell an advertiser that a certain number of individuals
visited our website, but we would not disclose anything that could be used
to identify those individuals.
- We may allow third parties to display advertising on our Web site.
These advertisers may obtain identifying information about you directly
from you. We take reasonble steps to ensure that these advertisers are
legitimate, use any information responsibly, and fully disclose their
privacy policies.
The above clauses enumerate all the ways we will use information we
collect.
Our Commitment To Data Security
To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the
correct use of information, we have exercised appropriate physical,
electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure all our
information.
Our Commitment To Children's Privacy
Protecting the privacy of the very young is especially important.
Nothing on our Website would attract or be of any interest whatsoever to
anyone under 18. In any case, we will not collect or even accept
information from or about minors.
How You Can Access Or Correct Your Information
You can correct factual errors in your personally identifiable
information by sending us a request that credibly shows error.
To protect your privacy and security, we will also take reasonable steps
to verify your identity before accepting any information which could have
any consequences to you or us.
How To Contact Us
Should you have other questions or concerns about these privacy policies,
please send an e-mail to "webmaster" at this domain.
